November 2020

Steph Orlic and Marissa Small, students from Brandeis University, were tasked with creating a broadside, a multimedia project, by utilizing a published piece and designing a visual artwork incorporating the publication. This broadside works in tandem and breathes new life into Sarena's poem, "The Persistence of Memory."

Armando Hazaveh Salazar and William Lawler, students from Brandeis University, were tasked with creating a broadside, a multimedia project, and also chose to incorporate Sarena's publication into their artwork. This broadside is the collaboration of their design with her poem, "The Persistence of Memory."

October 2020

Each year, Susquehanna University submits their nonfiction magazine Essay to Plain China, a renowned national literary magazine featuring some of the nation's best undergraduate writing and photography and published by students and faculty at Bennington College. Sarena's photo from Volume 19 of Essay was chosen for publication in the October 2020 issue of Plain China.
