For her undergraduate senior chapbook, Sarena wrote When We Don't Bury the Dead, a graphic memoir based on her poem of the same name. This graphic memoir was then selected for print and online publication in the Spring 2020 issue of The Sanctuary - Susquehanna University.
December 2019
Sarena's first poetry chapbook was published in print by Chrysalis Press - Susquehanna University in 2019. After the Impact, alongside Sarena's memoir The Adventures of Cyber-Ant and Zarena, was named the recipient of Susquehanna University's 2020 Gary and Elizabeth Fincke Outstanding Senior Portfolio Prize, judged by Sarah Turcotte Layton.
